Favourite Eyeshadows
Hi dolls!
I hope you are having a fabulous Saturday so far. Most of you are probably enjoying a well deserved lie-in. But unfortuntately for me, my body clock doesn't understand that word so I've been up since 8am.
I've wanted to do this post for a while now so I thought I'd make the most of a full camera battery and get cracking :)
When I first got into make up, I was always drawn to the most out-there, wacky eyeshadow colours as lets face it, they are sooo pretty and interesting to look at.
However nowadays, as you'll see below, my tastes are a lot more... I don't want to say boring, but more neutral and more wearable on a daily basis.
You'll notice that all of the below are either palettes, collections or depotted eyeshadows that I've put into a palette.
This is because I just much prefer them. Single eyeshadow bug me. They take up so much space and searching through all my stuff just to find a little eyeshadow pot of a morning doesn't really appeal to me.
I need to get a MAC 15 palette as I have around 6 other eyeshadows that I'm yet to depot, and for that reason they get forgotten about (like Club - LOVE that eyeshadow, but I couldn't even find it this morning - further proving my palette point)
Ok let's get going...
So this little set was part of a MAC holiday collection a few years back. I can't recall the name of the collection, anyone that does please let me know as I hate not having all the information for you guys.
I love pigments a lot. They don't usually get a lot of love because they are messy and awkward and all that fun stuff. But they are seriously SUCH value for money. Especially when in a set like this. I've used these sooo much and they are literally not even a quarter used up.
The colours in this set speak for themselves and try as I might I wasn't able to capture the true beauty of the colours for you today.
They are (from left to right) ; Naked, Reflects Antique Gold, Chocolate Brown, Sunnydaze and Dark Soul
SO pretty. If you would like to see swatches of these then again let me know.
Naked, Chocolate Brown and Dark Soul are all permanent, wheras the others are limited edition.
Next up is my trusty MAC quad...
These are (clockwise from top left) ; Retro-speck, Brule, Honey Lust and Woodwinked.
Not all of these are favourites. Brule is my most used eyeshadow without any doubt. On days where I don't want to wear eyeshadow I still wear this. It's pretty much the same colour as my skin so it just evens out the eyelids. My lids but better :)
The other absolute favourite from this quad is Woodwinked. I'll never forget when I first swatched this shadow. It's just beautiful. Such a vivid gold-bronze colour that I'm pretty sure would suit all skin types and eye colours. Love.
The last palette I didn't even really need to photograph I'm sure.
The Urban Decay Naked Palette.
I don't need to tell you all how fab this is. It became my absolute favourite thing about 1hr after buying it.
It has every colour in it that I'm sure any normal-non make up addict would ever need in their life. You can create everything from a really natural look to a dramatic smokey eye.
Love.
So that turned into a pretty mammoth blog post! I think that's only fair given how few and far between my posts are of late.
Any questions about these products please just shout and also please tell me what your favourite shadows are. As I'm sure you can imagine, I'm always on the look out for more :)
Until next time.... :)

Hairy Scary
It's amazing what difference a new hairstyle makes.
For years now I have had the same hair. Long, brown and very rarely cut or 'styled' properly.
I've always been a 'wash and go' kinda girl with my hair and spent as little time on it in the mornings as humanly possible. Anything to gain more precious minutes in bed!
However recently I've been craving a change and finally went for it on Saturday.
I took myself off to an actual hairdresser (I usually trim my own hair, fringe etc) and had the chop!
I had around 7-8 inches taken off so it's safe to say it's a massive change.
Now all of a sudden I find myself looking out for haircare blog posts rather than make up ones as I'm loving my new do so much that I want to take good care of it.
I've always changed up my Shampoo/Conditioner routine as I'm a sucker for trying new ones out, but other than some leave-in conditioner, my haircare routine stops there.
What is your haircare routine?
Any suggestions of must-have products?
